STOCK SALES PLEASANT POINT " The Press ” Special Service TIMARU, December 3. ■ Just over two races of fat sheep were yarded at the Pleasant Point sale. Values for fat ewes varied to a fair extent throughout the sale, and late rates for this class were barely maintained, but prices tor wethers were firm. Prime shorn wethers made 32s lOd to 36s Id; light to medium. 25s lOd to 29s lOd; prime ewes. 21s 4d to 25s lOd: light to medium,; 15s to 20s 4d: prime lambs. 29s lOd to 32s Id. The yarding of fat cattle was larger than the previous sale, and the quality was a little above the usual standard. The sale was a good one, showing a slight appreciation of value. Medium to prime steers made £ll 2s 6d to £l7 17s 6d; medium to prime heifers, £9 17s 6d to £l3 17s 6d; medium to prime cows, £6 17s 6d to £lO 17s 6d. The few pens of store sheep sold at late rates.
