YESTERDAY IN THE HOUSE
(From Our Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, December 3. The House of Representatives adjourned at 10.15 this evening with the order paper bare, an unusual situation for the closing days of a session. However, the House will have three bills on the order paper to-morrow. The big Statutes Amendment Bill was reported back to the House, and Native Purposes and Eme'rgenc:' Regulations bills were introduced to-day. Most of the day was spent in discussing the Land and Income Tax Amendment Bill, or rather the wider field of discussion it opened up, but the Minister of Finance (the Hon. W. Nash) said information about'the revision of taxation rates would come on a later bill, presumably on the Finance Bill, ivhich has yet to be introduced. After the taxation bill had been passed the House quickly disposed of , the Agricultural Emergency Regulations and Electricity Bills, and was •left with nothing to do.
