+ Sir Patrick Duff, High Commissioner for the United Kingdom, accompanied by Lady Duff, will leave Wellington on Thursday to fulfil engagements in Christchurch, returning to Wellington on Friday.—(P.A.) Rear-Admiral D. W. Mitchell, a supply officer of the United States Navy, has arrived in Auckland by air. Admiral Mitchell, who is making his first visit to New Zealand, will leave by air to-day for Wellington. He expects'to spend about two months in the Dominion, during which time he will be engaged in naval business concerning the United States Joint Purchasing Board.—(P. A.) The appointment of LieutenantColonel B. H. Wakelin as headmaster of Dilworth School. Auckland, is announced. He went overseas with the 3rd Echelon in 1940.—( P.A.)
