♦- :' A" resolution that the Vote be granted at the age of 18 was passed at the thira annual conference of the New Zealand Federation of Young People's Clubs, held in Wellington recently... A further resolution concerning defence graining was also passed. The scheme I suggested required'compulsory attendance for defence training for not more than a year, and covered training"in citizenship, health, physical training, and military training for the defence of New Zealand for forces provided for the International' Police Force. The scheme also provided for recruits, to study, during their training, for "their trades and professions. ■■■■. ~;V
