LYTTELTON NEWS
SERVICEMEN WELCOMED The Excelsior Hall was filled last evening when a further party of Lyttelton returned servicemen were entertained at a welcome home social. Those of the party were G. Carson, R. Scott, J. Hughes, R. Muxlow, F. Swaby, L. Gower. T. Robinson, W. Selander. J. Scruter, E. Swain, J. Gamer, C. Erlcksen. and W. Turner. The Mayor (Mr W. T. Lester) welcomed . the men on behalf of the citizens of lyt- , telton. Other speakers were Mr D. Taylor (Lyttelton Returned Services’ Association), Mrs E; H. Green (Next-of-kin ' Club), and the Rev. R. J. Witty (on behalf of the churches).
