TWO FIRES IN CITY
The storehouse and contents at the Provita Mills, Ltd., Ferry road, were destroyed by fire early yesterday morning. The Christchurch Central Fire Brigade received a call at 4.25 a.m., but when the brigade arrived at the scene the fire bad obtained a firm hold.
The brigade received another call yesterday at 5.9 p.m. to Wardells Building, Cashel street, where there was a small fire in the lift. No difficulty was experienced by the brigade in extinguishing the fire.
