RELIEF SHIP SINKS AT TRIESTE

The Jugoslav News Agency reports that a cargo of 1000 tons of barley, 835 tons of footwear and clothing, and also many stud horses, was lost when an UNRIIA relief ship, the William Palmer, sank after striking a mine in Trieste harbour. Seventeen members of the crew and some of the horses were saved.
