FINANCE BILL AND UNCIO (From Our Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, July 24. The House of Representatives had a quiet day to-day. The principal business of the afternoon was further con* sideration of the Finance Bill, the main feature of which was a speech by the Minister of Works (toe ifeft. St. Sample). who had another tilt at “racketeer*, profiteer*, laaferi, and scroungers." The committee stage* hid not been Anlihed it the tea adjourn* ment. The evening was demoted to I debate on a motion moved by the Prime Min* ister (the Hon. P. Frater) that the House approve of the United N»* tions’ Charter.
