The Christchurch Domains Board expressed regret at the death of Miss Couzins at its monthly meeting.
A motion of sympathy was also passed at a meeting of the Christchurch Fire Board.
Regret at the death of the Mayoress of Christchurch (Miss E. Couzins) was expressed at the monthly meeting of the Springston Women’s Institute, and a motion of sympathy with her relatives was passed. It was decided at yesterday’s meeting of the Mayoress's Parcels Fund executive that the next meeting of the executive in connexion with the Eveleyn Couzins Memorial would be deferred until after August 3, when the street collection in aid of the Mayoress’s Parcels Fund will be held. This decision was made in order to co-opt representatives of all organisations with which Miss Couzins was associated and ascertain their views as to the form the memorial should take. Regret at the death of the Mayoress of Christchurch (Miss E. Couzins) was expressed by the president (Mrs G. Salt) at a recent meeting of the Belfast branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union. Members stood in silence as a mark of respect to her memory.
