They went to the nr-t ffi.,,r of F.nde.oTs building, climbed through an open window from a landing. and walked along a parapet until thev were level with a plate da-'-"' window over the shop at the back. Thev cut a large hole in the glass, and lowered themselves into the shop. Most of the stock of tobacco ana cigarettes was taken from the shop, and the money, in notes and silver, was taken from a locked drawer below the cash register.
book club assistants SEEK AWARD
The first application for an award by book club assistants heard in New Zealand came before the Arbitration Court in Christchurch yesterday morning. The Court reserved its decision after the claims had been presented. Applications for variations of awards in term-' of the latest pronouncement on standard wages were made on behalf of Canterbury dental workers, butchers, and fish shop assistants. The Court reserved its decision in each case.
