Bank of New Zealand.—After hearing Mr E. P. Wills (Christchurch) speak on the Government’s proposal to take over the Bank of New Zealand, a well-attended meeting at St Patrick’s Hall, Timaru, passed the following resolution: “That this gathering, representative of all sections of the community of Timaru, protests in the strongest terms against the proposed action' of the Government to take over the Bank of New Zealand, and is of the firm opinion that _the interests of the community esn be served by the hanking system being completely free gt Staw er political ooatEdw”
