MAGISTRATE’S COURT
FRIDAY (Before Mr A. E. Dobble, S.M.) CIIARGE ADJOURNED A young woman, whose name was ordered not to be published, was charged With the theft of £39, Senior-Detective F. Sinclair said that £lB of the money stolen had been recovered. The case was adjourned to August 30. TRAFFIC BREACHES Desmond Stephen Brocherie was fined £2 for driving without due care and attention. Raymond Dunlop Minson was fined £1 for failing to give way, and 10s for not having a warrant of fitness. Horace Allen Ireland, charged with failing to give way, not having a driver's licence and not having a warrant of fitness, was ordered to pay costs on the first charge. For not having a warrant of fitness, Maxwell Morgan Doherty was fined 10s. Owen Cilliam Rees was fined £1 for not having a tail-light on his motor-car. For falling to give way, Leonard Boyce was fined 20s. Charles Henry Rogers pleaded not guilty to a charge of driving witnout due care and attention. On this charge he was ordered to pay the costs of the prosecution, and bn further charges of not having a driver's licence and not having a warrant of fitness he was convicted and discharged.
