SALE OF PROPERTY APPROVED

LAND SALES COMMITTEE Approval for the sale of a house and section at £9OO to Hannah Amelda Williams was sought from the Urban Land Sales Committee yesterday by Claud Arthur Campbell. The property was situated at 122 Opawa road. L. W. Baker, who valued the property for the vendor, said that the State Advances Corporation had offered £BSO for the house, but the Crown valuation was only £755. The difference dfd not seem to fit, Mr Baker said. The sale with the State Advances Corporation fell through, and since that time the vendor had concreted the yard, rebuilt a workshop, and put up some paling fencing. This would make the State Advances value £875, said Mr Baker. The sale was approved subject to the price being reduced to £825.
