NEW ZEALAND’S NAME IN BRITAIN
«HIGH REPUTATION”
(PA) AUCKLAND, June 12. ■’‘New Zealand has a very good name in Britain: her reputation is high, said the Leader of the Opposition (Mr S. G.- Holland) on his return from overreputation enjoyed by the Dominion throughout the world, and Particularly in Britain, said Mr Holland, had been established largely by the conduct of New Zealand servicemen wherever they had been. Unquestionably they had been outstanding ambsss&dorSt The fact that the New Zealand Division had remained in the Middle East while the, position in the Dominion was critical was something that would long remain to the credit of the country, he said. “I am confident that if we treat Britain fairly regarding the purchase of the things she has to sell we shall have no difficulty in disposing of what we have to sell to her,” said Mr Holl8 He emphasised that Britain’s increased milk production would in no way interfere with her requirements of butter and cheese from overseas. The position regarding wool was a little less certain, but there were grounds for firm optimism regarding the future of this product.
