The weather forecast for Canterbury Issued at 5 p.m. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 24 hours following the time of issue, is as follows; Situation; An anti-cyclone extends from south-eastern Australia across the northern Tasman, and a trough i$ advancing across the south Tasman. FbrOcast to 5 p.m.: north-easterly winds predominating on the coast, nofth-westel-ues inland; weather fair to fine and cool. WEST COAST The forecast fot the West Coast of the South Island Is;— Moderate northerly winds; weather fair at first, but occasional showers developing from the south; temperatures COM. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER Yesterday in Christchurch was fine and tunny, with a light north-easterly wind in the morning. Later in the day, thfe Wind changed to south-west. At 1 o’clock this morning the sky was clear and there was no wind.
