PLAYER SUSPENDED, ANOTHER REPRIMANDED For persistently questioning an umpire’s decisions, M. Abrams, of the Hollywood Club, was suspended for four playing Saturdays at a recent meeting of the management committee of the Canterbury Hockey Association. R. Abrams, of the same club, was severely reprimanded for unruly play; and an official of the club w n s reprimanded for improper behaviour. The meeting decided that a challenge should be issued for the New Zealand Hockey Challenge Shield at present held by Auckland.

It was reported that efforts were being made to hold a tournament tor hockey teams from all air force stations in New Zealand. Mr F. S. Kiddey was appointed supervisor for the five-a-side tournament, and Messrs J. L. Squire, C. S. Clements, and H. S Cordery were appointed as a special judiciary committee. .
