Tamahlne~Strips Propeller.—When in the Sounds, about half an hour out from Picton, on Friday night, the Tamahine stripped her port propeller, and put back to Picton. The damage could not be repaired there, and she left at 10.30 o’clock on Saturday morning on one screw. She was expected to arrive at Wellington between 5 and 6 p.m. The inter-island trips scheduled for to-day and to-morrow have been cancelled. —(P.A.) DAILY MEMORANDA—Monday. May 21. AUCTIONS.
