CASH PAYMENTS FOR WOOL

GOVERNMENT’S DECISION (P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 18. It was announced to-day by the Minister of Finance (the Hon. W. Nash) that In the* changed circumstances now existing, the decision had been reached to pay to woolgrowers, in cash, the full price for greasy wool from the 1944-45 clip. This means that 10 per cent, of the appraisal value held back will be paid in cash as soon as practicable after the close Of the wool season. Previously, portion of the amount had been paid in the form of war loan securities.
