April 19, Mr Churchill was asked in the House of Commons if steps would be taken to defer the announcement of V Pay until the capitals of Norway, Holland, end Czechoslovakia were liberated. “I have no announcement to make at present, except that I deprecate premature speculations about tots.” said Mr Churchill. ‘‘The matter is not one that we can settle by ourselves.
