ROOSEVELT’S WILL
FAMILY BEQUESTS MADE
WASHINGTON, April 17. Mr Roosevelt’s will; which is dated November 12. 1941. gives Mrs Roose-velt-tba right to select any or all of his personal property and utilise it during her lifetime. The value of Mr Roosevelt’s Estate is hot disclosed. . lie will sets forth that the five children each have the right to select onefifth of the residual personal property dfter Mrs Roosevelt has made her Selection. Any property not chosen by the widow or children shall be offered to the Government for display in the Roosevelt Library or in the Roosevelt Home at Hyde Park, which was given 16 the Government in 1944. Mr Roosevelt directed that the remainder of the dstate is to be held by the trustees. Colonel James Roosevelt, Mr Basil CTConiior, Mr Roosevelt’s former law partner, and Mr Henry Hackett, a Poughkeepsie solicitor, with the income going to Mrs Roosevelt during her lifetime. Upon Mrs Roosevelt’s death, one half oi the principal remaining in the trust fund, together with all accumulations of income, is to be divided equally among the then-living Roosevelt -children. Upon the death of any of the Roosevelt children, their children shall receive.,the share .to which the parent would be entitled. The remaining half of the principal la to be divided, upon Mrs Roosevelt’s death, into separate trusts, to be held by the trustees for the benefit of Mr Roosevelt’s children and grand-chil-dren.
