ACCIDENTS
CHILD STRUCK BY TRAIN Michael Rich, aged two and a half years, who lives at Weedons, ran on to the railway line when playing yesterday and was struck by a passing train. He was admitted to the Christchurch Public. Hospital at 1.30 p.m. At an early hour this morning his condition was reported to be satisfactory.
RUN OVER BY TRAIN (P.A.) WELLINGTON. April 18. Arthur Henry Robins, an elderly man employed as a Government messenger. was killed through being run over by the guard’s van of a Welling-ton-Waterloo train at Petone late last Apparently he was leaving the train to catch a bus when he fell under the wheels.
