There is a depression off New South Wales. Forecast to 5 p.m.: moderate to fresh north-easterly winds. Weather fair to fine, with moderate day temperatures. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island Is:— Moderate easterly to northerly winds.' Weather fair to fine, with mild day temperatures. . CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather yesterday was fine and sunny with a light north-east breeze. The maximum temperature was 59.6 degrees. There was a frost of two degrees on Sunday night. At 1 o'clock this morning the sky was clear, with a moderate northeast breeze. The barometer, falling, registered 30.331n (1027.1 millibars).
