The Acting-Prime Minister (the Hon. W. Nash), who. visited Christchurch during the week-end, will return to Wellington, this morning by air.
The chief boarding inspector and immigration officer at Auckland, Mr W. H. Graham, will' retire at the end of this month after 44 years’ service with the Customs Department. Mr Graham, who joined the department In Auckland, has held his present position since 1930. , •
