LOTTERY HELD ON MEAT

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, April 6. In the Magistrate's. Court, ■ Mr ■J. H. Luxford, S.M.. fined George Samuel Conaghan £SO for establishing a lottery. Evidence was given that accused disposed of meat by lotteries held In a bar. No time was allowed in which to pay the fine, default of immediate payment being fixed at six weeks’ imprisonment.
