SPRINGFIELD

Sir,—As each holiday season comes round, a. greater number of .visitors arrive in the Springfield district. It has long been, recognised as one of the healthiest places in New Zealand. It is a beautiful district, only waiting for the residents to take a pride in it; and in time it would become a health resort. It is 1200 feet above sea level and during the epidemic of the Great War, \irhen thousands were dying all over New Zealand, not one death was recorded in Springfield.—Yours, etc., E. A. INNES. Springfield, December 17, 1944.
