CELEBRATIONS IN CHRISTCHURCH Throughout the Catholic world th* Feast of Christ the King was honoured yesterday, and in Christchurch th* o®* casion was celebrated by a proccaw* of the Blessed Sacrament, follow*d W benediction, which was given by_®» Lordship Bishop Lyons. Those c W“J took part in the procession number** about 5000. and included many m*?® the uniforms of the armed servWSj many sodalities of the various psn*p». of Christchurch, a full represents*)* of the clergy and religious of thajW*' ferent communities, and many _chufl* ren from the secondary and prlmaf/t schools in the Christchurch ' The procession passed through.*** grounds of the Cathedral, the Brothers and the Sacred Heart Coue**i all of which were beautifully decor* ated. , On a dais erected In the Cathedral grounds Bishop Lyons gave Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacra®*** Attending him w’ere the Very Rev. Kennedy, the Very Rev. Father T. Herfernan. and the Rev. Father T. I®** rahan. The masters of ceremonies were the Very Rev. Father Joyce **° the Rev. Dr. Harrison.
