The Mayor of Christchurch (Mr E. H. Andrews) will leave for Wellington this evening to attend a meeting ol the New Zealand Town Planning Board, on which he represents the Municipal Association: and a meeting of the special committee of the board which is dealing with the town plan for Nelson City and the Tahunanui town district. He will return to Christchurch on Thursday morning. Members of the Christchurch executive’of the Returnsd Services’ Association stood in silence last evening as a mark of respect to the memory of Messrs W. J. Tidyman, J. Wake, W. J. Wright, D. A. Stewart, and T. Lester, former members of the association, who have died recently.
