OBITUARY The death occurred on Saturday, at her residence, Reserve terrace, Lyttelton,' ol Mrs Elizabeth Frances Foster, wife- of Or. W. T. Foster. Mrs, Foster was Mayoress of Lyttelton from 1929 to 1931.'She W£a born at Lincoln, Canterbury, in IJBB and was the daughter cf Mr and Mrs Johri Taylor, who had a'farm'in that district. Mrs Foster was an active worker- for thC Lyttelton Methodist Church and,:' Was -a member ,of the choir. She. was one of the founders and patroness of the Lyttelton Nursing Division of St. John AmpuUnce and also took a prominent part in .'patriotic work during the last war.' Mr: and Mrs Foster, three years ago, celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their wedding. Mrs Foster is survived by her husbahd* ‘ a sop. Mr F. W. Foster, a ana three daughters, Mesdames S. R; Evison* and E. J. Werry, Wellington, and Mrs A* R. Ccuch, Kaiapoi.
