MCCORMACK’S BAY AREA
SUMNER COUNCIL ADVISEp OF AMALGAMATION Advice that the McCormack’s Bay area was now amalgamated with Christchurch, in .accordance with the decision of the Amalgamations Commission, was received from the Undersecretary of Internal Affairs at the meeting of the Sumner Borough Council last evening. Cr. Machin moved that the City Council be approached immediately about the proposed dumping of spoil in the area at present enclosed by the Causeway and the old road. “We must endeavour to arrange that this approach to Sumner be kept from becoming unsightly," he said.
