The cause of animals will be brought before the public of New Zealand next month. Since 1928 a World Day for Animals hg§ been observed on October 4, the day dedicated td ?t. Tracis of A?si?i. progress has been in the campaign for promoting animal welfare in spite of the d™ - culties d u e to the depression and the present war. In New Zealand the practice has been to observe a whole week in remembrance of animals. From October 1 a series of addresses, sermons, lectures, and radio talks will be commenced, and will continue during the next week.
