The weather forecast for Canterbury, Issued at 5 pin. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 24 hours following the time of issue, is as follows’— Situation; a low pressure trough from the south-west should pass over during the day. Forecast to 5 p.m.: moderate to fresh north-westerly winds, turning to south-west during the morning. Weather cloudy, with showers foliowing the wind change. Temperatures becoming cooler, WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:— Forecast to 5 p.m.; moderate to fresh north-westerly winds, backing to south-west during the day. Weather cloudy to overcast, with intermittent rain, but cloud breaking and weather becoming showery after the wind change. Temperatures becoming cooler.
