* WORKING MEN’S CLUB * . When the Christchurch Working Men’s Bowling Club, which was recently formed, held its first annual meeting, the secretary reported that the Petrie street green, which had been leased from the Christchurch City Council would be ready for the official opening on October 21. It was decided to affiliate with the Christchurch Bowling Centre. The election of officers resultedpatron, Mr A. O Thomas; president, Mr H. Rogers; vice-president. Mr J Hampton; secretary, Mr P Kirton; treasurer. Mr W. Brooks: committee. Messrs J L. Ragg. R. Neill, J. Connelly, W West. D Burgess. C. Aston. H. Lawrence: delegate to centre, Mr H. Rogers; selector, Mr J. Hampton.
