ALLEGED "GO SLOW"
.; LYTTELTON WATERSIDERS ASK
FOR INVESTIGATION
A suggestion by Mr G. H. Mackley. M.P. (Opposition. Masterton), in Parr liament on Wednesday that a gang of. waterside workers had gone slow at Lyttelton on May 6 resulted in the following telegrams to Mr Mackley and the Minister of Labour (the Hon. P. C. Webb) being sent yesterday by Mr. J. Flood, secretary of the Lyttelton branch of the Waterside Workers’ Union:—
“G. H; Mackley. M.P.. Wellington.— Request you to make same statement outside Parliament House that: was made yesterday concerning the gang that you allege went slow. We invite fullest investigation.” “P. C. Webb, M.P., Wellington —lnvite fullest investigation concerning statement made by Mackley.”
