CAR STRIKES BRIDGE
[ ONE KILLED AND FOUR INJURED (P.A.) MASTERTON, Sept. 21. One man died in hospital and four were injured when a car struck the Pariwhaiti stream bridge eight miles from Masterton late last night. They were:— Killed Arthur William Pike, aged 42, of Masterton, married, with five children Injured Euan Crltchley Brcnkley, owner of the car, fractured left leg. Norman Fercival Ghesterman, of Masterton, scalp wound and fractured thigh. Gordon Sutherland McKay, of Masterton, dislocated right hip. Ronald Norman Grantham, of Masterton, head injuries. All the injured men are in the Masterton Hospital. ■
