WOMEN’S DIVISION OF FARMERS’ UNION
Redcllffs.—The annual birthday parly ot the Redclift's branch pf the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held recently. with a good attendance of members and their friends and visitors from other branches. Mrs Roberts welcomed the guests and presented Hovvers to Mrs Waghorn, president of North Canterbury executive and other representatives. An interesting programme comprised a sketch presented by Mrs Burton and members of the Home Economics Drama Circle, a play by members of the branch, those taking part being Mesdames McCracken, Reid, Barker, McKenzie, Jones, and Brewlns. Songs were sung by Miss Ebert, who was accompanied by Miss Hollobon. Afternoon tea was served by the hostess, Mrs Foster and helpers, and a birthday cake was cut by Mrs Waghorn-. Diamond Harbour-Purau.—Mrs J. Hunter welcomed members and friends to the monthly meeting of the Diamond Har-bour-Purau branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union held at the golf clubhouse. A flower show was held. Mrs G. S. Smith, Mrs W. Gower, and Mr W. Anderson being the judges. They complimented the members-on the fine show. Mesdames Agar and Mitchel were the stewards, and Mesdames Good and Mackey the hostesses. Winners of prizes for most points were: Mrs Miller 1, Mrs Hunter 2, Mrs Mackey 3, Mrs Mimson 4.
