London, has sent out a further SOS to Air Force Relations for knitted wear for New Zealand personnel serving With the Royal Air Force in Europe, and Air Force Relations ask for the assistance of as many ■ knitters as possible in meeting the request. The main demand is for pullovers, which will be needed in Europe during the coming -winter. Air Force Relations have been steadily accumulating supplies for this purpose as a result of which they can make an immediate shipment to London, but very much larger quantities will be required. Air Force Relations make an urgent appeal to knitters to show their appreciation of what New Zealand servicemen are doing overseas, and to show it in a really practical way—by helping to meet this urgent need. Those who are unable to undertake the knitting of pullovers can help in the knitting of smaller items such as scarves and gloves. There are ample stocks of wool available at the Air Force Relations depot, McKenzie’s Buildings, corner High street and Lichfield street, and the offices are open every day from 10.30 a.m. till 4 p.m., and on Saturdays, 9.30 to 11.30 a.m.
