The opening of the forty-sixth season of the' Christchurch Model Yacht Club was held at Victoria Lake on Saturday when over'4o members and visitors were entertained in the club-house. The racing, which was under the direction of Mr R. C. Munro, resulted as follows; _ , First Heat.—W. Evan’s Greta (hep. 2mln SOsec) 1, B. George’s Wreri (3min) 2, J. Spencer’s Kia Ora' (3min) 3. D. Johnson’s Victory (2min 40sec) 4. M. Spicer's Mako (4min 50sec) 5. Time. 27mjn 40sec. Second Heat —Mako (hep. 4min SOsec) 1, Wren (3min) 2. R. Tindell’s Reveille (Imin) 3. Greta (2min SOsec) 4, S. Andrew's Amy (3min SOsec) 5.’ Time. 33mln Msec. Final.—Greta and Wren 10 points (equal) 1; Mako, 9 points, 3: Reveille. 5 points, 4.
