RUSSLEY CLUB To provide funds for sending parcels to members of the club serving overseas, Mr D. Swift presented a prize for a stroke competition. Howard (15), 29 points. The semi-finals of the Donnelly Cup knock-out competition resulted as follows;—R. S. Beveridge (9) beat G. G. F. C. Hamilton (9), 2 up; R. C, Saunders (9) beat R. D. Thompson (18), 6 and 5. In a play-off for a tie in the Rawnsley Cleek Canadian foursome handicap, R. C. Saunders and Miss M. Foster (17) and L. J. Treleaven and Miss P. Chandler (14) tied again, 5 down. , WAIMAIRI BEACH CLUB In the final of the Waimairl Cup, S. Morris beat W. A. Caldwell, 1 up. The first round of the Horwell foursome cup was won by W. Horwell and H. W, Walker 92, 22—70., pther scores were: P. Smith and L. Calvert 90, 16—74; G. Pitcaithly and T. de Mate 94, 18—75. M. Kunzlie was the winner• in a flag match played on Sunday afternoon. A special prize was given by M. L. Calvert was won by H. W. Walker. WAITIKIRI CLUB A bogey handicap was played at Waltlkirl at the week-end, and scores were as follows : M. W. Beaven (11), 3 down; A. Cunneen, with a net score of 75 each, were next on the list. The visitors’ handicap was won by J. Sullivan with a net score of 72.
