SPECIAL ARTICLES
Sir,—Mr Freeth’s special articles, which have appeared in. “Thexpress,” make good reading, and, in company with other articles of this kind, deserve more than a passing notice. Some of these are of permanent value and deserve a place in a news cutting album. It is unfortunate that many readers regard a daily paper merely as a medium for the news of the day, much of which is of little significance in the main current of events, and overlook the special articles which should receive serious study, if not in the morning when time is limited, then after dinner in the evening.—Yours, etc., NEWS VALUE. May 30, 1944.
