MEDALS HANDED TO NEXT-OF-KIN
DECORATIONS WON BY MEN NOW DEAD (P.A.) AUCKLAND, May 30. The Governor-General, Sir Cyril Newall, and Lady Newall received privately this afternoon the immediate relatives of several service personnel resident in the Auckland district, when his Excellency handed to next-of-kin decorations as follows; Distinguished Flying Cross and Bar: Dr. and Mrs S. A. Ward, of Whangarei, parents of the late Squadron Leader D. H. Ward, R.A.F. , „ Military Cross: Mrs A. J. Pepper, of Takapuna, widow of Captain C. S. Pepper, 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force;, Mrs M. R. Horrocks, of Takapuna. mother of the late Captain R. E. Horrocks, 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force. _ , ' . Military Medals: Mrs M. A. Lockett, of Ohaeawai, widow of Warrant pmcer II A. H. Lockett, 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force; Mrs S. M. Riddell, of Auckland, widow of Sergeant A. J.
