SITE FOR NEW FACTORY
read of the proposal to establish a factory in Upper Riccarton near Ham and Villa Maria, I also would like to congratulate Mr Livingstone for taking a stand against such proposals. For example, let anyone visit the beautiful hostel and grounds belonging to our Technical College in °Pa w f and see for themselves the result of the Government cleaning sheds being placed directly opposite after the hostel was built. Even the roses are covered with smuts, to say nothing of the contaihination of pure air so necessary to our youth.—Yours, etc., ■ „„ OLD RESIDENT. May 29, 1944.
