New Zealand Air Ace.— Acting-Wing Commander D. J. Scptt, D.5.0., D.t.C. and Bar, of Westland, who was awarded the 0.8. E., is Ipelipved to bp the fint New Zealand fighter pilot to win this distinction in Britain in this war. he rose from flight sergeant to squadron leader in nine months, and then became a wing commander, and very soon an airfield commander. He is undoubtedly one of New Zealand's leading aces.—London, May 26.
