OFFICIAL FORECASTS " The Press ” Special Service WELLINGTON, May 28. The weather forecast for Canterbury Issued at 5 p.m. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 24 hours following the time cf issue, is as follows: ’ Moderate southerly winds, tending to north-easterly. Weather cloudy and cold, with scattered rain, chiefly in North Canterbury.' WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is;— Moderate easterly winds. Weather fair to cloudy and cool. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather over the week-end was cold and showery. There were frequent showers of rain on Saturday, and, while the weather cleared somewhat yesterday, conditions were bleak.
