RAILWAY INSPECTOR THROWN FROM JIGGER

Mr C. W. S. White, of Christchurch, a traffic inspector of the Railways Department. received head injuries when he was thrown from his jigger on the Blackball combined rail and traffic bridge on Wednesday afternoon. The jigger was apparently derailed by a stone on one of the rails. Mr White was shaken, but was able to return to Christchurch by the evening railcar. His condition became worse in the course of the journey, and on arrival at Christchurch he was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital.
