ROBSON AVENUE

Sir,—As a resident of Robson avenue, Avonside, I have been endeavouring to ascertain whether we are to have a decent road or footpath put in before winter begins. Last winter we experienced, and put up with cheerfully, the inconvenience of wet and muddy boots. Now, with the approach of another winter, there does not appear to be any sign of improved conditions. Perhaps Fou could tell me if the road has beeiy handed over officially to the Christchurch City Council? If not, then perhaps the Housing Department could give us some indication if and when the work will commence.—Yours, etc., „ , PATHFINDER. March 24,1944. tThe State Housing Department says that it is hoped to begin work on this street, which has not yet been handed over to the City Council, within a month.]
