WOMAN’S BODY NOT RECOVERED

Although the search was continued yesterday, the body of the woman seen in the sea off Dashing Rocks, near Caroline Bay, Timaru, on Sunday afternoon, has not yet been recovered. A launch was out in the bay yesterday, and the shore was patrolled all day by police constables, as it is thought that the body might be carried in by the current.

Senior-Sergeant S. King, of the Timaru Police Station, said yesterday that the identity of the woman could not yet be stated.
