MEAT RATIONING
Sir,—Following my previous letter on the subject, I again Wish to call the attention of the Minister in charge of rationing to the advisability of making use of rabbits to ease the shortage of meat. With a little organisation millions could be made available to make up the deficiency we are faced with. Many people cannot tell the difference between chicken and rabbit, if the latter is properly cooked. If rabbiters were paid a fair thing for the carcase, no doubt they would be glad enough to make a bit extra. Years ago many thousands of bunnies were tinned in this country. Why not again make use of them?— Yours, etc., BUNNY. February 18, 1944.
