MISSING MAN’S BODY RECOVERED

The body of Samuel Dickson, aged about 55 years, a small farmer and horse-breaker, of Alford Forest, who has been missing since February 14, was found in the Ashburton river about 1 p.m. yesterday. Mr B. A., Howden, of Mayfield, found the body caught amongst the willow trees on the north side of the river about two miles below the Valetta crossing, where Dickson’s two horses and jogger were found on February 13. The police identified the body by various articles of clothing which Dickson was wearing before he was reported missing.
