PILOT OFFICER W. H. PILET, who has recently been awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, is a son of Mr and Mrs P. Pilet, Halswell, Christchurch. He was a pupil of the Frebbleton School and also at the Christchurch Technical College. He took a course in fanning at Flock House, Palmerston North, and left New Zealand two years ago as a sergeant pilot.
