Wellington, and dealing with the 24 hours following the time of issue, is as follows: Fresh westerly winds, later southwesterly. . Weather changeable, with showers in the ranges and later extending to the plains. Temperatures mild, but colder later. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is as follows; Westerly winds fresh at times. Weather cloudy, with showery periods. Temperatures moderate. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather in Christchurch yesterday was fine and warm, with a light breeze Irom the north-west in the afternoon.
